Who We Are

Family Promise addresses the needs of families experiencing homelessness by utilizing resources within local congregations and the community. Families in our program receive a full complement of resources  while they work towards their own independence and self-sufficiency.

During the course of this 60-90 day program, residents, staff and volunteers work together to:

  • Help with employment, workplace and retention skills
  • Provide individualized support for families.
  • Opportunity to receive help with mental health, legal counsel and educational goals.
  • Opportunity to learn individualized budgets and financial literacy.
  • Provide transportation for families as needed.
  • Once families find safe and affordable housing, help with settling into their new home.
  • Case management while in the program for up to one year after family has graduated in order to assist in accessing resources or dealing with issues and problems that may arise in the future.
