Who We Are
WHUP 104.7 FM is an independent radio station based in Hillsborough NC. We reflect the environment from which the station was born- a community with diverse points of view, insights and ideas. By entertaining, educating and inspiring listeners, WHUP fertilizes the regions rich creative and intellectual landscape while providing an alternative to current radio offerings.
What We Do
WHUP 104.7 FM incorporates the long established strengths of community radio, offering an array of locally produced programming that reflects the diversity and interests of the community throughout the greater triangle area. We focus on live music and offer an alternative to traditional show based programming blocs. We feature events coverage and public affairs that spotlight our rich cultural landscape. We acknowledge, respect and embrace positive local and regional differences while being thoroughly modern and expansive in thinking.
