Start early teaching the 4-5 year old Pre-K students to love everything about all kinds of Art.

Encourage children to use their hands to manipulate clay, finger paint, weave, paint, and draw. This helps build fine motor skills - the same skills that children need to learn how to write letters and words.

Just like our Reading Program, the Art Program is run by Volunteers.  The Art Program will entice and create the artist in every student.

We are looking for one to two volunteers to create and continue teaching an Art program for 140 PreK students.  

Volunteer in Pre-Kindergarten classroom to help learn fun, developmentally appropriate Pre-K activities.  The Classroom volunteer is most helpful during school-wide activities like the 100th day of school, our Field Days in Spring, and our Holiday parties.

Warren Williams is a very busy and fun school, housing over 140 Pre-K students.  Each classroom has a Teacher and a Teacher's Assistant.  These teachers spend all day with the students, with no real "down" time to help with the upkeep of the grounds.  

We are looking for 1-3 people to take on the task of helping out with our school's appearance and safety on the outside.

Our "grounds keepers" would rake the rubber mulch that is on the playgrounds, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, to keep the base even for the safety of the children.  Also, the mulch around our plants and trees need some repair/care.  Also, we need someone to water plants, inside and outside.  One other task would be to sweep the walls and posts under the breezeway for webs, nests, dirt.  Finally, someone to wash our windows outside - throughout both buildings, probably once a year.  And, of course, anything else you see that needs some love and care!

We can work with you for your supplies and tools.

We need people who enjoy spending quality time with children to volunteer to read Pre-k books to a small group of students on a weekly basis. Reading time frame is between 30 min. to 1 hour.

The Classroom teacher and you will find a time that is convenient for you and the children are at their most attentive.
